LETHBRIDGE, ALB—MAY 26, 2018—Fastest qualifier First Prize Cruise returned on Saturday to defeat Deans Double Take by 1-˝ lengths in the $14,742 Alberta Aged Series Bonus Challenge Maiden (not black type) at Lethbridge. This Budsforyou finished a neck back to take third.

Ridden by jockey Martin Ortiz, First Prize Cruise completed the 350 yards in :18.076 seconds, a 90-speed index with a 25 mph tailwind.

Tom Kenway bred, owns-and trains the daughter of second-crop sire First Prize Doc from the Eye Take Time mare Eye Cruise. First Prize Cruise has compiled a (7) 2-0-3 record and today's $6,634 winners' purse doubled her bankroll to $13,536.

Trainer Laurie Ferguson saddled runner-up Deans Double Take for owners Ralph Denard, and Shaun Jeffrey. Jockey J.B. Botello was aboard the Texas-bred daughter of Ivory James from the Dean Miracle mare Deans Dusty Bunny. She was bred by County Line Runners and earned $2,949 for the effort.

Thisbudsforyou picked up $1,769 for her third. George Ron Scott conditions the Streakinisanattitude gelding for owner Delton Gehring. K. Glenn Wills bred the 3-year-old in Alberta from the thoroughbred mare Highnest by King's Nest. Blandford Stewart was up.

Atomic Blondie, Gone To Be Bright, Ss Sunny Days, Bs Playing For Keeps and The Western Special completed the field.
