CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 20, 2018—Let There Be Sound, a 4-year-old son of One Famous Eagle and a stakes winner during the Ruidoso Downs meet, is one of eight runners entered in Sunday’s 870-yard, $23,000 AQHA Will Rogers Distance Challenge Stakes at Will Rogers Downs.
Trained by John Stinebaugh for owners Louis Howard and Corrine Howard, Let There Be Sound is coming off of a four-length victory in the 870-yard, $20,000 Bill Reed Memorial Stakes at Ruidoso Downs on September 2. TheOne Famous Eagle gelding drew post 7 and will be ridden by Benito Baca.
Other contenders include Rockin J Running Horses’ Jess A Hibily Bone. Trained by Tammy Johnson, the homebred 7-year-old Rock Solid Jess gelding has earned $48,273 from seven starts this year, and his season record includes a half-length victory in the 870-yard, $50,000 Pauls Valley Handicap (G3) at Remington Park on April 5.
Jess A Hilbily Bone drew the rail post and will be ridden by Randy Wilson.
