AJAX, ONTARIO, CANADA—SEPTEMBER 2, 2014—Gary and Marlene McNichol’s Reckless An Wild, the fastest qualifier, is the 3-1 morning-line choice for Tuesday’s 350-yard, $73,850 Ontario Sires Derby for accredited Ontario-sired 3-year-olds at Ajax Downs.
A homebred son of the First Down Dash stallion Wild Boyz, Reckless An Wild is trained by David Ward. The gelding was a prompt 1-5 favorite in the second of two trials on August 19.
Zoomin On Ice won the first trial for his owner, Stephanie Keeble. The gelded son of the Oak Tree Special stallion Iced N Oak races from the barn of trainer Greg Watson, and he was a finalist in the June 22, $105,000 Picov Derby at Ajax Downs.
