GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—OCTOBER 23, 2014—A total of 115 2-year-olds has been entered in Saturday’s Texas Classic Futurity (G1) trials at Lone Star Park.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $1 million-estimated Texas Classic Futurity on November 15, closing night of Lone Star Park’s fall Quarter Horse meet.

Copper Spring Ranch’s Lovethewayyoulie drew the rail post in the 10th of 12 400-yard trials. A sorrel daughter of champion Tempting Dash trained by Toby Keeton, Lovethewayyoulie has earned $456,322 from six starts, and her two wins include a nose victory in the May 31, $1.021-million Heritage Place Futurity (G1) at Remington Park.

Lovethewayyoulie’s eight opponents in the 10th trial include Rattle N Battle, a son of freshman sire Apollitical Jess owned by Sunset Well Service Inc. and trained by Brandon Muniz. The colt is coming off of a half-length win in the 400-yard, $385,000 Dash For Cash Futurity (G1) at Lone Star on October 11.

Other prominent 2-year-olds entered in Saturday’s trials include Omar Mireles’ Cosmo Traffic, a homebred filly by Cosmograph trained by Angel Sanchez. Cosmo Traffic is coming off of a Delta Downs summer campaign in which she ran second, a head behind winner Hezadashinbye in the July 4, $278,000 Firecracker Futurity (G1).
