The Streakin Clean will face the boys in the $20,000 Independence Day Handicap at 300 yards on Friday at Los Alamitos.

The Streakin Clean Leads Independence Day Handicap On Friday

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—JULY 2, 2015—Trainer Jaime Gomez has enjoyed a tremendous first half of 2015. Gomez swept the El Primero Del Ano Derby and La Primera Del Ano Derby earlier this year and only the unbeaten Walk Thru Fire kept Docs Best Card from sweeping the Kindergarten Futurity and Ed Burke Million Futurity.

Gomez also won the Miss Princess Handicap with The Streakin Clean, who'll now take on the boys in the $20,000 Independence Day Handicap at 300 yards on Friday at Los Alamitos.

To be ridden by Oscar Peinado for Leonardo and Javier Olmos, The Streakin Clean has been consistent against stakes rivals. She was second in the Charger Bar Handicap and third in the Cypress Handicap. The Streakin Clean has finished third or better in five consecutive stakes races. She'll start from post number three.

The Independence Day will also feature S-eparatist and Santa Ana Handicap winner Amber Bock, a 3-year-old colt by Tr Dasher. Trained by Jose Flores for Jorge Moya, Amber Bock has three wins in four starts this season. His only loss came of the year came against the Gomez-trained Bac In Front in the Dillingham Handicap.
