Multiple stakes-placed Cr Game Changer will head a group of juveniles entered in Friday’s 350-yard Valley Junction Futurity trials at Prairie Meadows.

ALTOONA, IA—SEPTEMBER 27, 2016—Cr Game Changer, a homebred daughter of Game Patriot racing for Curt Tobin and Dick Tobin, is one of 27 juveniles entered in Friday’s 350-yard Jim Bader Futurity trials at Prairie Meadows.

Trained by Jason Olmstead, Cr Game Changer has earned $61,072 from six outs, and her resume includes second-place finishes in the 350-yard, $53,000 John Deere Prairie Meadows Juvenile Challenge on September 17, and the July 10, 350-yard Mystic Lake Northlands Futurity at Canterbury Park. The filly drew post 7 and will be ridden by Brayan Velazquez in the last of three trials.

Lil Stepper, a a homebred Lil Kool Wagon gelding trained by Stacy Charette-Hill for owners Michael A. Pohl and Bob Urich, will be ridden by Jorge Torres from post 7 in the second heat. Lil Stepper is coming off of a second-place finish in the 350-yard, $83,000 Iowa Stallion Futurity (R) at Prairie Meadows on September 4.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the October 15, $225,000-est. Valley Junction Futurity final.

Also on Friday, a total of 15 sophomores has been entered in the 400-yard Altoona Derby trials.

Alfredo Botello’s Ferrari James, a gelded son of Ivory James trained by Manuel Mojica Campos, drew post 4 and will be ridden by Oscar Delgado in the first of two trials. An earner of $92,083 from eight races this season, Ferrari James is coming off of a victory in the 400-yard, $83,000 Iowa Double Gold Derby (R) on September 3.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will race in the $100,000-est. Altoona Derby final on October 15.
