Two-Year-Old Schooling Races Kickoff Friday at Louisiana Downs

BOSSIER CITY, LA—FEBRUARY 1, 2017—The first of much anticipated schooling races for the new crop of two-year-olds (foals of 2015) will get underway on Friday (Feb. 3) at Louisiana Downs.

The track will host 14 schooling races at 220 yards, beginning at 11:00 a.m. (CDT), for Louisiana-bred 2-Year-Olds who remain eligible for the restricted Grade 2 Mardi Gras Futurity. Each race will consist of six starters.

Trials for the $100,000-added Mardi Gras Futurity, the first official races for 2-year-olds this year, are set for Friday, February 25th. The 300 yard final will be contested on Saturday, March 18th.
