Remington Park kicks off two days of schooling races this week with 10 races carded Wednesday with first post at 11:00 a.m. (CST).

Remington Park Continues Schooling Races With 10 Carded Wednesday

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 13, 2017—Schooling races continue on Wednesday at Remington Park with nine of the 10 races scheduled 2-year-old American Quarter Horse, Paints and Appaloosas. First post is set for 11:00 a.m. (CST) and all races will be contested over 250 yards. The public is invited to attend.

Highly anticipated first looks on Wednesday include Race 2's $45,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate Volcoms Fortune. Dustin Cox will saddle the brother to All American Futurity(G1) winner JM Miracle and Ruidoso Juvenile winner Lethal Express for owner David Moore. Lazy E Ranch LLC, Agent for P.K. Thomas consigned the colt by multiple stake sire Volcom from the stakes winning and multiple stakes producing Dean Miracle mare Lethal Delight.

Kenny Laymon will saddle $70,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling graduate Rich Red Corona in Race 3. JK Running Horses purchased the Corona Cartel colt out a Feature Mr Jess daughter of three-time champion Corona Chick by First Down Dash from the Lazy E Ranch LLC, Agent for Marshall and Lezlie Wier consignment.

Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate, Better Answer will also start in Race 3 for owner Itzel and Karen Ibarra and trainer Oscar Nunez. The $28,000 Desirio colt is out of Remington Park Futurity(G1) winner and multiple graded producer First Prize Leesa.

Race 5 includes Oh Mo, a $22,000 colt from the first crop of G1-placed Jess Lips. Eddie D. Willis trains for owner Zynda Racing. This is the third foal of the Corona Cartel mare Teller N Telleragain.

Five of seven two-year-olds in Race 6 are summer sale graduates including A Fire Walker by Walk Thru Fire. Brian Muse conditions the $46,000 Heritage Place September graduate for owner Brian Gunder. Lazy E Ranch LLC, Agent consigned the half-brother to Dash For Cash Derby(G2) winner Captain Strawfly. The second dam is All American Futurity winner AB What A Runner.

Bob Gaston and Stone Chase Stables Vixen Cartel will start for trainer Kasey Willis in Race 7. The Corona Cartel half-sister to Texas Classic Futurity(G1) winner Valiant Lil Lady and Grade 3 winner Bubba Carver sold for $38,000 in the Ruidoso Select Sale.

The Only Knockout, a $24,000 Heritage Place repurchase, will start in Race 9 for trainer Manuel Mata. Fivepuig Racing and James E. Helzer own the filly by leading sire Apollitical Jess from the Oklahoma Futurity(G3) winner Adolph Tres Knockout. Her sister As And Js won the Black Gold Futurity at Will Rogers last fall and has earned over $210,000.

Horsemen and women who cannot attend the schooling races may go to www.oqhra.com and watch the races under the "Racing-Training Races" tab. A replay of the race should be available to view within 3-5 minutes following each training race.

This should be available to users on their desktop, laptop or mobile applications. OQHRA officials said it may take a few minutes longer for the first race of the day to upload, but once the link has been established they will roll up after each race.

Training results will be posted on StallioneSearch.com and the OQHRA website as soon as they become available Wednesday afternoon.
