Remington Park Continues Schooling Races on Wednesday

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 21, 2017—Schooling races continue Wednesday at Remington Park with 10 of 11 races scheduled 2-year-old American Quarter Horse, Paints and Appaloosas. First post is set for 11:00 a.m. (CST) and all races will be contested over 250 yards. The public is invited to attend.

One Fabulous Corona, a $57,000 Ruidoso Select Sale repurchase, will start in Race 5 for trainer Eddie D. Willis and owner Monty McNair. The son of leading sire Corona Cartel is from the first crop of the stakes-placed Walk Thru Fire mare Sashay Hot. This is the family of All American Futurity(G1) winner Falling In Love Again.

Race eight will feature a number of summer sale graduates including Vixen Cartel, a daughter of Corona Cartel from the Fredricksburg mare Rustys Lil Lady. Kasey Willis will saddle the half-sister to Texas Classic Futurity(G1) winner Valiant Lil Lady for owners Stone Chase Stables and Bob Gaston. The sorrel filly sold for $38,000 at the Ruidoso Select Sale last September.

In Race 9 Dustin Cox will saddle Apollitical Law, a $40,000 Ruidoso Yearling Sale graduate by leading sire Apollitical Jess. Jose Luis Ozuna owns the half-sister to Grade 2 winner Whole Lot Of Karama. This is the family of last year's multiple stakes winning 2-year-old RDD Lajollanfastdash.

Descent, a $30,000 Heritage Place Yearling graduate, racing for owner Ed Melzer will start in Race 10. Eddie D. Willis conditions the FDD Dynasty gelding from the RG3-placed and G3 producing Corona Cartel mare Coronaville.

Horsemen and women who cannot attend the schooling races may go to www.oqhra.com and watch the races under the "Racing-Training Races" tab. A replay of the race should be available to view within 3-5 minutes following each training race.

This should be available to users on their desktop, laptop or mobile applications. OQHRA officials said it may take a few minutes longer for the first race of the day to upload, but once the link has been established they will roll up after each race.

Training results will be posted on StallioneSearch.com and the OQHRA website as soon as they become available Wednesday afternoon.
