More Summer Sale Yearlings Highlight Day of Schooling at Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 13, 2017—Remington Park will host another 11 schooling races on Wednesday (Mar. 15). Conditions for 10 of those races will be for 2-year-old American Quarter Horse, Paints and Appaloosas.

First post is set for 11:00 a.m. (CST) and all races will be contested over 250 yards. The public is invited to attend.

Among the 'Summer Sale' yearling highlights making their debut on Wednesday are Send Special Candy for trainer Clinton Crawford in Race 10.

Owned by Raymond Merrill and Gregory Cullum, the daughter of world champion sire Oak Tree Special sold for $60,000 at the September Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City. The bay filly is is a sister to seven stakes horses including the full sibling Grade 1 Southwest Juvenile Championship winner Send Me A Candy Tree.

Lethal Voltage, a brother to 2016 AQHA Racing Champion 3-Year-Old Filly Volcom Bay and G1-placed Lethal Volt, will start in Race 3 for trainer Trey Wood and owner/breeder P.K. Thomas. The brown gelding by multiple stakes sire Volcom was a $55,000 Ruidoso repurchase. His dam, Miss Lethal by Chicks Beduino, is the granddam of All American Futurity(G1) winner JM Miracle.

Race 5 will feature $45,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate Jess Macho Coronaman, a colt by leading sire Corona Cartel from the Feature Mr Jess mare Jess Send Me, runner up in the 2011 All American Futurity(G1). Trey Wood conditions the sorrel colt for owner Bobby Simmons. Also in race 5, trainer Jason Olmstead will saddle Bobby Elvis, a $40,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, for owners Tom Maher and Summer Run Inc. Bobby Elvis is a colt by leading sire Valiant Hero from a placed daughter of Feature Mr Jess. This is the family of Grade 3 winner XO Kate.

Horsemen and women who cannot attend the schooling races may go to www.oqhra.com and watch the races under the "Racing-Training Races" tab. A replay of the race should be available to view within 3-5 minutes following each training race.

This should be available to users on their desktop, laptop or mobile applications. OQHRA officials said it may take a few minutes longer for the first race of the day to upload, but once the link has been established they will roll up after each race.

Training results will be posted on StallioneSearch.com and the OQHRA website as soon as they become available Wednesday afternoon.
