All Kinds Of Kind Goes For Fourth Straight Win In Saturday’s James Smith Handicap

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—APRIL 5, 2017—Double Bar S Ranch LLC's All Kinds Of Kind will make her first start since winning the $106,750 Los Alamitos Maiden Stakes when she takes on six rival 3-year-olds headed by Wild West Futurity winner Bannister in Saturday's $25,000 James Smith Memorial Handicap at Los Alamitos.

Trained by Paul Jones, All Kinds Of Kind is on a hot streak right now. The Tac It Like a Man filly has won three races in a row and her victory against the boys was a comfortable one.

With Oscar Peinado aboard, All Kinds Of Kind broke out and bumped at the start, but she had the lead at the halfway mark of the 350-yard race. The homebred filly galloped home from there, cruising the wire a half-length ahead of runner-up Better Check Him Out, a major futurity finalists here last year.

All Kinds Of Kind has either won or run second in seven of 10 career starts, including her last six starts. She’ll start from post number three on Saturday.

Denny and Sandy Weigt’s Bannister will enter the James Smith after running in the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Winter Derby on February 11.

The Oklahoma-bred won his Winter Derby trial in mid-January and posted a head victory in the $118,000 Wild West last year. Monty Arrossa trains the son of Maknmoves.

The field will also feature Kolleen Ledgerwood’s California Breeders Freshman Stakes winner Favorite Aquaholic by Splash Bac and Steve Burns’ El Primero Del Ano Derby trial winner Western Coast by Hawkinson.
