LOS ALAMITOS, CA—APRIL 7, 2017— Summertime Favorite and Wild Wonder, two of the most exciting 2-year-olds to post gate workouts during the early part of the year at Los Alamitos, will make their respective racing debuts as part of Sunday’s eight race program.

Eight fillies will be in action in the fourth race on Sunday with all eyes firmly set on the promising Summertime Favorite. Bred and trained by Paul Jones and owned in partnership with Thompson Racing Inc., Summertime Favorite posted the fastest of 48 gate drills when covering 220 yards in :12.30 on March 11 and then came back with a 12-flat drill - the fastest of 50 works on March 23.

The filly has an outstanding pedigree as she’s a full sister to multiple stakes winner Flay and a half-sister to champion and millionaire Foose, which won the Grade 1 Ed Burke Million Futurity. Ramon Sanchez will ride Summertime Favorite from post number five.

Dutch Masters III’s California Coast, a half-sister of 2010 Kindergarten Futurity winner West Coast Hawk.

The boys get the spotlight in the sixth race with Davidson, Cannon, et al’s Wild Wonder among the ones to watch. The Stel Corona gelding posted a sizzling :12.10 work when posting the fastest of 40 works on March 18. He’s a full brother to Golden State Million Futurity and Governor's Cup Futurity finalist Chicanery and a half-brother to major futurity finalists More Than Wild and Big Time Wild. Ed Allred’s Resolutely, the owner of a pair of :12.30 drills, is another top contender. The Walk Thru Fire colt is out of the multiple stakes winning mare Moonlight Corona.
