Mr Master Bug Headlines Sunday Stakes Doubleheader at Remington

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK--APRIL 21, 2017--Paragon Farms’ Tough To Bee, a multiple Grade 1-placed son of Apollitical Jess trained by Trey Wood, is one of 10 Oklahoma-bred 3-year-olds entered in Sunday’s 350-yard, $61,800 Mr Master Bug Stakes (R) at Remington Park.

Tough To Bee will be making his first start since November 12, when the sorrel gelding ran third, a neck behind winner High Plains Perry, in the 400-yard, $1-million Texas Classic Futurity (G1) at Lone Star Park. He has won two of seven starts and has earned $228,646, and his resume includes a third-place finish in last year’s $1-million Ruidoso Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

Tough To Bee drew post 3 and will be ridden by Ricky Ramirez.

Eaglelistic, a gelded son of the Feature Mr Jess stallion Flyingwitheagles trained by Cody Reynolds for owner Donnie E. Johnson, will be shortening in distance off of his second-place finish in the April 1, 400-yard West Texas Derby (G3) at Sunland Park. Eaglelistic drew post 7 and will be ridden by Mario Delgado.

Remington Park Juvenile Invitational Stakes

Richard L. Tobin’s First Of 15, a sorrel daughter of Apollitical Jess, is one of 10 Oklahoma-bred 2-year-olds entered in Saturday’s 330-yard, $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile Invitational Stakes (R).

The lone two-time winner in the field, First Of 15 has banked $17,178 from two outs. The filly was acquired by Tobin for $48,000 at last year’s Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City.

Brayan Velazquez will ride First Of 15 for trainer Jason Olmstead from post 3.
