Lady Eagle 123 Draws Rail Post for $52,600 NCQHRA Futurity

SHAKOPEE, MN—AUGUST 4, 2017—Larry L. Rice’s Lady Eagle 123, a stakes-placed daughter of One Famous Eagle, is one of 10 2-year-olds entered back in Sunday’s 350-yard, $52,600 North Central Quarter Horse Racing Association Futurity (R) at Canterbury Park.

Lady Eagle 123 is coming off of a three-quarter length victory in the last of five trials on July 23. The sorrel filly has earned $22,474 from four starts, and her resume includes a third-place finish, 1 1/2 lengths behind winner Itsmyivory, in the 350-yard, $100,000 Heritage Place Juvenile Invitational Stakes at Remington Park on June 3.

Lady Eagle 123 drew the rail post and will be ridden by Elliot Bachicha Jr.

Jjsir James, an undefeated homebred Jesse James Jr gelding owned by Jerry Olson and the fastest qualifier, drew post 8 and will be ridden by Justine Klaiber for trainer Randy Weidner. Jjsir James has won both of his outs, including the fourth NCQHRA Futurity trial, and has earned $6,687.
