SHELBYVILLE, IN—AUGUST 23, 2017—A field of 10 Indiana-breds has been entered back in Friday’s 400-yard, $88,700 Bob Woodward Memorial Classic Stakes (R) at Indiana Grand.
Carolyn Bruce’s Stinkin Rich, a homebred 5-year-old son of One Famous Eagle trained by Matt Frazier, is the 2-1 morning-line favorite. The gelding has won his last four starts, and his two stakes wins during his streak includes a one-length score in last year’s $91,000 Bob Woodward Memorial Classic.
Stinkin Rich drew post 5 and will be ridden by Rolando Pina.
Wh Kenny G, the fastest qualifier, races for Robert A. Ray and trainer Ronald Brown. A 4-year-old Gold Medal Jess gelding, Wh Kenny G has earned $34,245 from four outs this season, and his two wins include an upset victory at odds of 36-1 in the 400-yard, $53,000 Bradford Stakes at Indiana Grand on July 8.
Wh Kenny G drew post 8 and will be ridden by Harold Collins.
