SHELBYVILLE, IN—AUGUST 24, 2017—Sr Shambles and Stone Cold Leader, a pair of stakes winners during the meet, are among the 10 2-year-olds entered back in Saturday’s 350-yard, $176,578 QHRAI Stallion Service Auction Futurity (R) at Indiana Grand.

The 2-1 morning-line favorite, Sr Shambles is a gelded son of Desirio trained by Jeanette Hoover for owner Cynthia Allen. Sr Shambles has earned $78,127 from nine starts, and his four wins include a half-length victory as the 7-10 favorite in the 300-yard, $109,000 Heartland Futurity on July 29.

Sr Shambles drew post 4 and will be ridden by James Flores.

Stone Cold Leader is a brown son of Brookstone Bay trained by Erin Thompson for owner Patrick Richardson. The fastest qualifier, the gelding has won his last four outs, including the 300-yard, $184,000 Gordon Mobley Futurity (R) for Indiana-breds June 17.

Stone Cold Leader drew post 3 and will be ridden by Rolando Pina.

A Texas-bred filly trained by Randy Haffner, Gridiron Girl B has won three of her five starts this season, including the first of three trials on August 12. Gridiron Girl B drew post 5 and will be ridden by Rodney Prescott. Bielau Oaks is the breeder.
