JA Am I Blue heads a field of 10 in Saturday’s 400-yard, $450,000 Dash For Cash Futurity (G2) at Lone Star Park.

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX—SEPTEMBER 27, 2017—Irma Z. Vargas’ JA Am I Blue, the fastest qualifier and morning-line favorite, heads a field of 10 in Saturday’s 400-yard, $450,000 Dash For Cash Futurity (G2) at Lone Star Park.

JA Am I Blue is coming off of a 1 1/2-length victory in the 10th of 11 trials on September 16. Trained by Rolando Almanza, the sorrel son of champion Jess Louisiana Blue has banked $82,056 from four outs, and his resume includes a second-place finish, a half of a length behind winner This Is An Eagle, in the 330-yard, $484,000 Sam Houston Futurity (G2) at Sam Houston Race Park in April.

JA Am I Blue drew post 7 and will be ridden by Jesse Lee Levario.

Other contenders include Cloud Ridge, a homebred son of champion Carters Cartel trained by Stacey Capps for owner Randy L. Davis. Cloud Ridge has won his last three starts, including the 350-yard, $50,000 Easy Jet Stakes (RG3) for Oklahoma-breds at Remington Park on June 3.

Cloud Ridge drew post 10 and will be ridden by Mario Delgado.
