CLAREMORE, OK—OCTOBER 25, 2017—As And Js, a bay daughter of Apollitical Jess owned and trained by Leonardo Alcala, heads a group of 19 state-bred 3-year-olds entered in Saturday’s 350-yard Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Derby (R) trials at Will Rogers Downs.

As And Js will be making her first start since July 29, when the filly ran second, 1 1/2 lengths behind winner Dash Quick Perry, in the 400-yard, $157,000 Retama Park Derby at Retama Park. As And Js has earned $64,534 from six outs this year, and her season resume includes a third-place finish in the 400-yard, $305,000 Remington Park Derby (RG3) for Oklahoma-breds on April 22.

As And Js drew post 9 in the first heat.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $25,000-added OHA Mystery Derby final on November 11.
