CLAREMORE, OK—OCTOBER 27, 2017—Weetonas Lafawn, a daughter of Valiant Hero owned and trained by Dustin Cox, is one of 66 Oklahoma-bred 2-year-olds entered in Sunday’s 350-yard Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Futurity (RG3) trials at Will Rogers Downs.

Weetonas Lafawn has earned $64,736 from six races, and her three wins include a neck victory in the 330-yard, $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile Invitational Stakes (R) in April. The filly drew post 3 and will be ridden by Benito Baca in the first of eight trials.

Streaks Of Ivory will be making her first start since September 2, when the brown daughter of Ivory James scored a wire-to-wire, 1 1/2-length victory in the 350-yard, $191,000 Iowa Double Gold Futurity (R) at Prairie Meadows. John Weghorst trains the filly for owners Jon Barley and Brant Barley.

Streaks Of Ivory drew post 8 and will be ridden by James Flores in the second heat.

Gordon Pevehouse’s PV Queen Bee Candy is coming off of a third-place finish, 1 1/2 lengths behind winner A Jordon Reed, in the 350-yard, $290,000 Valley Junction Futurity at Prairie Meadows on October 14. A homebred Cartels Candy Man filly trained by Clint Crawford, PV Queen Bee Candy won two of her three outs during the Remington Park spring meet, including the May 29, 330-yard FL Lady Bugs Stakes (R).

PV Queen Bee Candy drew the rail post and will be ridden by Omar Reyes in the fourth trial.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the November 11, $75,000-added OHA Mystery Futurity final.
