PHOENIX, AZ—NOVEMBER 3, 2017—Frozen Icon, a homebred Texas Icon filly owned by Martha “Mimi” Wells, is one of 10 3-year-olds entered in Sunday’s 350-yard, $20,900 Desert Classic Derby at Turf Paradise.

Trained by Matt Fales, Frozen Icon has earned $19,750 from 10 starts, and her resume includes a second-place finish, 1 3/4 lengths behind winner Arizona Icon, in last year’s Margie Bryan Arizona Stallion Owners Association Futurity (R). The filly drew post 9 and will be ridden by Justine Klaiber.
