SUNLAND PARK, NM—DECEMBER 20, 2017—Graded stakes winners Daddys Blushing and Moneys A Maker are among the 37 state-bred 2-year-olds entered in Friday’s 400-yard Shue Fly Stakes (RG2) at Sunland Park.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the January 14, $95,000-added Shue Fly final.

Daddys Blushing will be making his first start since July 15, when the Big Daddy Cartel gelding finished third in a Zia Futurity (RG1) trial. Trained by Jackie Riddle for owner Gary W. Hartstack of Houston, Texas, Daddys Blushing has earned $183,981 from five starts, and his two stakes victories include a half-length win in the 350-yard, $393,000 Mountain Top Futurity (RG3) at Ruidoso Downs in June.

Daddys Blushing drew post 4 and will be ridden by Francisco Calderon in the first of four trials.

Moneys A Maker races for Enrique Barrera from the barn of trainer Cynthia Gonzalez. A gray son of Sixes Royal, the gelding has won three of seven races, including the 300-yard New Mexican Spring Futurity (RG2) at Sunland Park in April, and he has banked $190,072.

Moneys A Maker drew post 3 and will be ridden by Mauro Salcedo in the second heat.
