PORTLAND, OR—JANUARY 21, 2017—The $12,000 added Gary Chumbley Handicap has lured a field of eight three year olds to dash 350 yards in today's (Jan. 21) third race at Portland Meadows.

Racing for Nick Lowe and Randy Dickerson, CM Once Ina Bluemoon holds a slight favored role after taking second best in the Oregon-Bred Juvenile Stakes worth $15,000.

The sophomore son of Ivory James will be ridden by Jockey Luis Gonzalez in Monday’s Chumbley Cap’.

Main opposition is likely to come from L Bar D Razle Dazle who won The Far West Futurity last October at 350 yards in a fast track time of 17:87.

Racing for Espelien & Torres and Trained by Hector Magallanes, the son of Regazzo may have not have enjoyed the outside post position in his last start which was in The Oregon Bred Juvenile where he finished fourth. Jockey Jake Samuels will have the call atop the sorrel gelding.

Sporting the colors of K&R Allred Ranch is One For The Brothers who will break from the outside post in the contest after finishing second to the aforementioned L Bar D Razle Dazle in the Far West. Trained by Hector Magallanes, the son of One Famous Eagle has a solid closing kick that may benefit him if he encounters any miscues early in the dash.

Since arriving from Ruidoso Downs, One For The Brothers has been a top performer and recently sports a razor sharp 11:35 breezing gate work in preparation for The Cumbley.

Post time is 12 noon (PST) for the eight-race card at Portland Meadows.
