OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 11, 2018—A total of 194 2-year-olds has been entered in this weekend’s Heritage Place Futurity (G1) trials, which will be contested Friday and Saturday at Remington Park.

The five fastest qualifiers from each night of trials will meet in the June 2, $1-million Heritage Place Futurity, Oklahoma’s richest horse race for any breed. Post time for both nights is set for 6 p.m. (CDT). The first Heritage Place trial will start at approximately 6:27 each night.

Friday’s 11 350-yard trials have attracted 97 juveniles, as have Saturday’s. Ivory Runnin, a gelded son of Ivory James owned and trained by Leonardo Alcala, is the 8-5 morning-line favorite in Friday’s sixth heat. Ivory Runnin has earned $18,618 from three outs, all at Remington, and his resume includes a third-place finish, a neck behind winner Peves Iba Racy Gracy, in the 300-yard, $50,000 Oklahoma Juvenile Invitational Stakes on March 24.

Agustin Silva will ride Ivory Runnin from post 4.

Saturday’s trials are headed by Eagles Fly Higher and VF Jedi Returns, the winner and runner-up, respectively, in the 330-yard, $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile Invitational Stakes (R) for Oklahoma-breds on April 21. Trained by Trey Ellis for owners Vernon Harman and Robert T. Moudy III, Eagles Fly Higher is a homebred colt by One Famous Eagle who has won all three of his starts and has banked $61,778.

Eagles Fly Higher drew post 4 and will be ridden by Ricky Ramirez in Saturday’s sixth trial.
