FARMINGTON, NM—-MAY 11, 2018—Frank Lujan’s RF Big Daddys Girl, a homebred gray daughter of Big Daddy Cartel and the fastest qualifier, is one of 10 state-bred juveniles entered back in Sunday’s 350-yard, $50,000-added New Mexico Breeders’ Futurity (RG3) at SunRay Park.
RF Big Daddys Girl broke her maiden with a 1 1/4-length victory from fifth-fastest qualifier Meleros Big 440 in the first of four trials on April 27. The filly drew post 5 and will be ridden by Jose Luis Enriquez.
Saul, the second-fastest qualifier, drew post 4 and will be ridden by Adrian Ramos. A homebred gray son of Sign To Be A Runaway trained by Wes Giles for owners Jill B. Giles, Megan Hourigan, and Cory Taylor, Saul made his debut with a 1 1/4-length win in the third trial.
