FREDERICKSBURG, TX—AUGUST 9, 2018—A total of 86 2-year-olds, topped by Dees Jetting Diva and All Sophia Wanted, has been entered in Saturday’s 350-yard Gillespie County Fair Futurity trials.

A homebred daughter of Jet Black Patriot trained by Jose Luis Sanchez III for owner Whitetail Weld LLC, Dees Jetting Diva has won both of her outs, including the 330-yard, $112.000 Old South Futurity at Delta Downs in May, and she has earned $59,753. The filly drew post 5 and will be ridden by Eddie Sanchez in the seventh of nine trials.

All Sophia Wanted ships in from New Mexico, where the gray Five Bar Cartel filly ran second, a neck behind winner Suze Returns, in the April 14, 300-yard West Texas Futurity (G2) at Sunland Park. All Sophia Wanted drew post 2 and will be ridden by Jose Montoya for owner Sunset Well Service Inc. and trainer Michael Chavez in the seventh heat.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the August 26, $175,000-est. Gillespie County Fair Futurity final.
