Coronas On The Coast Returns in TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity Trials

SELMA, TX—AUGUST 14, 2018—Coronas On The Coast, a gelded son of Special Royal Corona owned by A and E Stables, is one of 44 2-year-olds entered in Friday’s 350-yard TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity (RG3) at Retama Park.

Coronas On The Coast is coming off of a fifth-place finish as the fastest qualifier and 19-10 favorite in the 350-yard, $479,000 TQHA Sale Futurity (RG3) at Retama Park on July 28. The gelding has won three of five starts and has earned $31,626 while racing in Texas and Louisiana.

Coronas On The Coast drew post 3 and will be ridden by Everardo Rodriguez for trainer Martin Rodriguez in the second of five trials.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the September 1, $50,000-added TQHA Sires’ Cup Futurity final.
