CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 7, 2018—Hardtoget, a Grade 2-placed 5-year-old daughter of champion Foose racing for Trey Malechek, drew post 5 for Sunday’s 350-yard, $18,000 Miss Ellen Stakes for distaffers at Will Rogers Downs.

Trained by R.L. “Rick” Robinson, Hardtoget will be making her first start since June 2, when the bay mare ran second, a neck behind winner Apollitical Scout, in the 400-yard, $100,000 Junos Request Stakes (G2) at Remington Park. Hardtoget has won eight of 18 starts, including two of three at Will Rogers Downs, and she has earned $118,670.

James Flores will ride Hardtoget. The mare’s nine opponents include David N. Clonts’ Eye Eye Captain, a homebred 4-year-old Captain Courage mare trained by Guillermo Valdivia. Eye Eye Captain is coming off of a Fair Meadows summer campaign during which she scored a one-length victory in the 350-yard, $15,000 Fair Meadows Belle Stakes on June 30.
