ALTOONA, IA—SEPTEMBER 13, 2018—Woop Dee Doo, a 5-year-old Good Reason SA gelding owned and trained by Ricardo Martinez, is one of a dozen sprinters entered in Saturday’s 400-yard, $45,000 Keokuk Stakes (G3) at Prairie Meadows.
Woop Dee Doo ships in from Indiana Grand, where the gelding won both of his starts, including the 400-yard, $40,000 Bradford Stakes on July 7. Woop Dee Doo drew post 10 and will be ridden by Yordanis Amaro.
Other contenders include John G. Johnson’s Faster Than Hasta, a 4-year-old son of the Pritzi Dash stallion Hasta Be Fast trained by Bob Johnson. Faster Than Hasta is coming off of a neck victory in the 400-yard, $20,000 Rocky Mountain Championship at Arapahoe Park on August 12, but the gelding has won four of his five starts at Prairie Meadows, including last year’s $46,000 Adequan Prairie Meadows Derby Challenge.
Faster Than Hasta drew post 9 and will be ridden by Alfredo Triana Jr.
