LOS ALAMITOS, CA—OCTOBER 2, 2018— The weekend’s richest race at Los Alamitos Race Course is the Grade 2, $365,000 PCQHRA Breeders Futurity on Saturday night.

Owned and bred by Hayden Brothers Ranch, Estelline ran flawlessly to win her trial by 1-¾ lengths to post the fastest qualifying time.

Trained by Danny Montes, Estelline has won both her starts at Los Alamitos. The Carters Cartel filly out of the mare Lady Of Reason SA had previously broken her maiden here by ¾ lengths on August 25.

Cole Man 47, by Stel Corona, and Capitol Grille, by Walk Thru Fire, the 1-2 finishers in the John Deere California Juvenile Challenge, will also be in action in the PCQHRA Breeders Futurity.

Reliance Ranches’ Conquering Marie, a filly with the second fastest qualifying time, will also be in action in the futurity final. The filly by leading first-crop sire Coronado Cartel has won three of five career starts.

Martha Wells’ Favorite Cartel colt Red Hawk Cartel, the winner of the California Breeders Freshman Stakes at 62-1 odds, and JGA Racing Stables’ Paddy Riley, a son of leading sire Apollitical Jess who finished fifth in the Grade 1 Ed Burke Million Futurity on June 24, will also be in action in this 350-yard dash.
