The Far West Futurity Trials at 350 yards will be the 2nd, 3rd & 4th races of the day as L Bar D Top Prospect has a favored edge in the first heat for Owner Luis Torres.

Trained by Hector Magallanes with Eduardo Sosa to ride, the two year old Prospect To The Top gelding finished third in the Firecracker Futurity at Grants Pass this summer.

The Cal-bred will be facing older horses in The Crater Lake however he defeated two of them in the last start at six furlongs over a sloppy track. Opposition looms likely from a few different rivals such as the speedy Capital Expense and the late running Uncle Kimo. Also Atypique and The Press bring strong credentials into the contest.
