CLAREMORE, OK—OCTOBER 23, 2018—Viva Le Don, a stakes-winning son of Rock Solid Jess owned by Rockin J Running Horses, will make his next start in Friday’s 440-yard Black Gold Futurity Championship (R) trials at Will Rogers Downs.

Trained by Tammy Johnson, Viva Le Don will be stretching out in distance off of his three-quarter length victory in the 350-yard, $267,000 Black Gold 350 Futurity (R) on September 23. The gelding has earned $121,650 while racing exclusively in Oklahoma.

Viva Le Don drew the rail post and will be ridden by Randy Wilson in the fifth of six trials.

Other prominent juveniles entered include Jose E. Guzman’s Temptingsecretfly, a graded stakes placed homebred son of champion Tempting Dash trained by Amanda Tongay. Temptingsecretfly is coming off of a wire-to-wire, 1 3/4-length victory in a 330-yard, $13,700 maiden-special-weight dash at Will Rogers Downs on October 7.

Temptingsecretfly’s record includes a third-place finish, a neck behind winner Lynnder 16, in the 330-yard, $864,000 Remington Park Futurity (RG2) for Oklahoma-breds on April 21. The gelding drew the rail post and will be ridden by James Flores in the third heat.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the $150,375-guaranteed Black Gold Futurity Championship final on November 10.

Also on Friday, 37 3-year-olds have been entered in four 350-yard Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Derby (R) trials.

Donald Cavenaugh’s Weetonas Lafawn, a two-time stakes winner during the Remington Park spring meet, drew post 9 and will be ridden by Bonifacio Quiroz for trainer Clint Crawford in the second heat. The bay daughter of Valiant Hero has earned $67,082 from five outs this season.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will meet in the November 10, $25,000-added final on November 10.
