Remington Park Hosts Another Round Of Schooling Races on Wednesday and Thursday

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 18, 2019—Remington Park will host another two days of schooling races for 2-year-olds on Wednesday and Thursday this week with an eight-race card set on each day (race 6 on Thursday is for 3-year-olds and up).

First post each day is 11 a.m. (CST). All races will be conducted at a distance of 250 yards. A number 2018 summer sale graduates will be making their debuts over the two days.

Wednesday opening race will include $29,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate Relentless Episode, $20,000 Heritage Place Fall Mixed graduate Ajesster and $34,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale repurchased Pyc Prize Time.

Trainer Samuel Valdivia will saddle Pyc Prize Tyme, a colt by leading sire Mr Jess Perry from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Pyc Prize Doll, for owner/breeders Weetona Stanley and Burnett Ranch. The sorrel colt with start from post 7.

Dunn Ranch's Relentless Episode will make his debut for trainer Trey Wood in Race 1 from post 4. The colt by first-crop sire, champion Hes Relentless, is a half-brother to Mexican Champion One Famous Episode.

Owner-trainer Ebelyn Rojas starts the Apollitical Jess colt Ajesster from the 2 post. The sorrel colt out of Lady Tres Seis by Tres Seis is from the family of champion Eagle Jazz, G1 stakes winner Wicked Winner, G1 winner Baja Jazz, RG2 winner Teller Baja, G1-placed First Wicked Lady, etc.

On Thursday the ''big guns'' come out in the opening race with the $340,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale ''sale topper'' Good Candy P. Trainer Clinton Crawford will saddled the son of champion and All American sire Good Reason SA from post 5 for owner Don Cavenaugh. The sorrel colt is out of the multiple stakes winning and track record setting Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Send Me This Wagon.

This is the family of two-time champion and All American Futurity(G1) winner Jess Good Candy, also trained by Crawford.

Foose Mint, a $22,000 repurchase for Paragon Farms from the Ruidoso same sale will start from post 8 from trainer Trey Wood. The daughter of champion Foose is a half-sister to Ruidoso Derby(G1) winner Tough To Bee.

In addition race 1 will also include $18,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate Jessaracin for trainer John Hammes and owner Charles Mitchek. The daughter of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon out of the RG3 winning Mr Jess Perry mare is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Jessluvchicks.

Also in Race 1 $16,000 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale repurchase Bv Tempted will start from post 3 for owner Bella Vista Farms and trainer Eddie Lee Willis. The colt by first-crop sire Bv Travelin Solider is out of the Royal Quick Dash mare Denali Peak, the dam of multiple stakes -placed Silky Senator. The second dam is multiple stakes winner Painted Bug the dam of two-time champion and champion producer Strawberry Silk.

In Race 2 trainer Trey Wood will send out $70,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate Mr Perry Hock for owner La Feliz Montana Ranch. The colt by first-crop sire, two-time champion Kiss My Hocks is a half-brother to RG3 winner Painted Wine Wagon. His dam is the stakes-placed Rainbow Futurity(G1) finalist Mr Perrys Wine by Mr Jess Perry.
