PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ—MAY 22, 2019—Ten 3-year-old Quarter Horses, headed by Scott McDaniel’s First Lady Perry, have been entered in Saturday’s opening-day feature at Arizona Downs, the 350-yard, $15,000 Robert Heubeck Memorial Stakes.

First Lady Perry is coming off of a Turf Paradise campaign during which the Mr Jess Perry filly won two of four starts, including the December 9, 400-yard AQRA Turf Paradise Futurity. First Lady Perry drew post 9 and will be ridden by Jake Samuels for trainer John Allred.

Oscar Pesqueira’s Mr Pura Vida brings in a three-race win streak that includes a head victory in a derby at Rillito Park in Tucson on February 24. The homebred son of Five Bar Cartel drew post 4 and will be ridden by Rodolfo Arvizu for trainer Vanessa Marquez.
