Hr Storm On In, Tipsy Girl B Meet in MQHRA Stallion Auction Futurity

SHAKOPEE, MN—JULY 5, 2019 —The all Quarter Horse card at Canterbury Park includes the $36,068 MQHRA Stallion Auction Futurity, a 350-yard event for 2-year-olds who qualified from trials on June 14.

Fastest qualifier Hr Storm On In is the horse to catch in Sunday’s final; trained by Vic Hanson, the Red Storm Cat gelding posted a trial time of 17.978 and cleared the field by over two lengths in his trial.

Hr Storm On In debuted at Remington Park but is now undefeated in two starts at Canterbury.

Trainer Jason Olmstead and jockey Cristian Esqueda team up with the winner of the second trial and second fastest qualifier, Tipsy Girl B.

The daughter of Hes Relentless is out of Devil Wears Prada B, by FDD Dynasty, and was bred in Texas by Bielau Oaks. Tom Maher and Paul Luedemann own the undefeated filly looking to extend her win streah to three in Sunday’s futurity.

Bob Johnson trainee Fastest Leader is a full brother to multiple stakes winners Hastabealeader and Faster Than Hasta; Hastabeleader will run in the Canterbury Park Distance Challenge and Faster Than Hasta will run in the Bank of America Canterbury Park Championhship Challenge on the same card as the MQHRA Stallion Auction Futurity.

Seven of the top ten fastest qualifiers are sired by Hes Relentless, one of 70 sires who participated in the online MQHRA Stallion Service Auction. The MQHRA Stallion Auction Futurity is open to any 2-year-old sired by a horse that was nominated to the online MQHRA Stallion Service Auction.

The $36,068 MQHRA Stallion Auction Futurity is Race 4 on Sunday at Canterbury Park. Estimated post time is 2:22 pm CT.
