TULSA, OK—JULY 11, 2019—Matthew Eck’s Rappid, a graded stakes winning son of Ivory James, is one of 35 sophomores entered in Saturday’s 350-yard Speedhorse Derby trials at Fair Meadows at Tulsa.

Rappid has earned $125,463 from 10 races, and his two wins include a half-length victory in last year’s 350-yard, $222,000 Speedhorse Futurity (G3) at Fair Meadows.

The gelding drew post 3 and will be ridden by Jose Vega for trainer Maria Elisa A. Barraza-Rodriguez in the third of four trials.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from Friday’s trials will meet in the July 27, $75,300-est. Speedhorse Derby final.
