AJAX, ONT—AUGUST 23, 2019—This Sunday, August 25, join Ajax Downs for another event-packed day of Quarter Horse Racing in its 50 Anniversary year.

Sunday is Travel Day at the track with prizes throughout the day, an OSS Travel Mug giveaway plus the eighth installment of '50 Years Of Winning' contest for a chance of winning one of four $50 betting vouchers and a spot in the $3,500 final, October 14.

Stakes race action heats up Sunday as the 2-year-olds take the stage in the final of the $50,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Futurity at 330 yards.

A Lone Hand will try to remain undefeated as the impressive bay colt has won both of his career starts including one of two trials for the final. Owned by James Bogar of Cameron, ON and trained by Barry Wood, A Lone Hand will be ridden by Brian Bell from post position 2.

"He has a very good mind this 2-year-old," said Bell. "He's very game in all his workouts. Nothing really fazes him."

Fireball Xl5 went slightly faster in his Trial win for owner Belinda Taggart and trainer Jason Pascoe. The son of the late sire Star Fire Fire will be ridden by Shanley Jackson. Fireball Xl5 starts from post 4 in the 10-horse field.
