SHELBYVILLE, IN—SEPTEMBER 12, 2019—The fourth of six all-Quarter Horse racing nights for 2019 will be featured on the Saturday (Sep 14) racing program at Indiana Grand.

A total of nine races are set with two trials for the $100,000 Sterlie Bertram Memorial featured in races six and seven followed by the fourth running of the $45,700 Leader of the Class Sale Futurity in the eighth race of the night.

The Leader Of The Class Sale Futurity features two-year-olds that were sold as yearlings in the 2018 Speed Sale or as weanlings in the 2017 Speed Sale. The 330-yard dash brings Catchey Rhythm into the race from the Tony Cunningham barn.

The sorrel gelded son of Too Tough To Catch made the final in both the QHRAI Stallion Service Auction Futurity as well as the Gordon Mobley Futurity Final where he finished fourth. Owned and bred by C.W. Mullenix, Catchey Rhythm is one of three winners in the field, joining the Tim Eggleston trained HF Tough to be Me and the Erin Thompson trained Loveherlikethat, who broke her maiden in her last start.

The Sterlie Bertram Memorial Trials brings back several top contenders in the three-year-old ranks, including Nacho Binez trained by Ricardo Martinez. The sorrel gelded son of Habits Secret has drawn post one in the seventh race and will be ridden by Fernando Morin. Nacho Binez has not finished worse than third in four starts this year.

Cunningham will saddle his talented Get Used To Me in the first trial of the Bertram Memorial. Starting from post six, the Corona Cartel grey colt comes into the race off two straight victories for Cunningham, who also owns the colt. L.D. Martinez will ride.

Get Used To Me will face stiff competition in Valiantinecandyrocks from the John McCreary Stable. The black filly by Valiant Hero has two wins and two seconds this season in five starts. Owned by Tammy and Lance Finlinson of Greenwood, Ind., Valiantinecandyrocks will be ridden by Jose Beltran from post four in search of her second straight win.

Quarter Horse racing gets underway at 6:15 p.m. (EDT).
