Heritage Place Fall Mixed Kicks Off With Strong Opening Session

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—NOVEMBER 1, 2019—Heritage Place kicked off their 41st annual Fall Mixed Sale today with a strong showing. Comparisons to the opening session last year that included a world record $2.1 million price for champion and Moonin The Eagle and $200,000 for world champion and champion sire Wave Carver are hard to make.

However, if you take away the $2.3 million for those two horses, today's opening session, with Quarter Horse numbers only and fewer horses sold than last year, was nearly equal. Today 205 of the 239 Quarter Horses offered, sold for $2,054,200 gross, a $10,020 average and $6,000 median.

A 13-year-old daughter of leading sire Mr Jess Perry brought the top bid of $95,000 in Friday's opening session. Chad Hart purchased Hip 323 Jess Significant, winner of the Ruidoso Futurity(G1) and a champion producer. Consigned Bobby D. Cox, she sold with an embryo to multiple stakes sire Ivory James.

Hip 197 Charmed Heart was the high-selling yearling on day 1 of the Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale.
