Grade 1 finalist Mystic Blues will head Sunday’s 350-yard, $25,000 Dash For Speed Stakes for fillies and mares at Ruidoso Downs.

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—MAY 31, 2020—Mystic Blues, a 4-year-old daughter of Walk Thru Fire, will make her first start in nearly three months in Sunday’s 350-yard, $25,000 Dash For Speed Stakes for fillies and mares at Ruidoso Downs.

Mystic Blues is trained by Ramon Mendoza for owners LOS LLC and Abelardo F. Gallegos. The mare has won four of 16 starts and has earned $166,752, and her resume includes a fourth-place finish, 1-1/4 lengths behind winner Eagle Coast, in last year’s 440-yard, $1.008-million Rainbow Derby (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

Mystic Blues is coming off of a fifth-place finish in the 350-yard, $50,000 Rio Grande Handicap at Sunland Park on March 1. The mare drew post 2 and will be ridden by Sergio Becerra Jr.
