Rule He Will Heads Third Race On Sunday At Los Alamitos

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—JULY 17, 2020—Bill Branch’s popular 9-year-old Rule He Will goes after the 14th win of his career when he takes on five rivals in the featured $18,000 allowance event at 1,000 yards here on Sunday.

A multiples stakes winner at Los Alamitos, Rule He Will has won twice this year at 870 yards, but has come up short in his two outings at 1,000 yards. With leading rider Ramon Guce up for trainer Jerry Wallace, Rule He Will figures to be the big favorite here while facing a group that include a pair of daytime local winners.

Albert Gonzaz and Antonio Mojarro’s Love Your Life ran second to Rule He Will while showing some late kick in the 870-yard Wheatland Handicap on April 18. In his most recent start during the Los Alamitos Summer Thoroughbred meet, he led from gate to wire to post a 1 3/4 length win at 5 1/2-furlong event.

He will be looking to outlast the quicker Rule He Will. Eduardo Carbajal’s Kirsch Truffle won twice during the Los Al Summer meet, breaking her maiden by eight lengths on June 26 and then winning by six lengths against fillies on July 5.

In the sixth race, Racing N Lace will make her debut from post one. Purchased for $41,000 at the Los Alamitos Equine Sale, she is a full sister to Grade 1 winner Kiddy Up Cowgirl.
