College Scandal, Ramon Sanchez Team Up Again In Town Policy

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—NOVEMBER 5, 2021—Jockey Ramon Sanchez enjoyed his record tying 153rd career stakes win at Los Alamitos with Gentry Farms’ College Scandal in the Grade 3 PCQHRA Breeders Derby on October 2.

College Scandal could once again help Sanchez achieve a milestone victory here, as the two will team up again, this time in the $25,000 Town Policy Handicap for 3-year-olds at 400 yards on Saturday night.

"Ramon got the record tying win with College Scandal and it would be great to see him break the record with the same filly," said Juan Aleman, who trains the filly by Coronas Leaving You. "She’s been facing the boys so we figured we’d start her against these 3-year-olds instead of having her face Kiss Thru Fire in the Las Damas."

College Scandal will face a top field in the 350-yard race, which will also feature PCQHRA Breeders Derby finalists Roving Kind and Go To Girl. Roving Kind was the runner-up in the Breeders Derby at 10-1 odds, while Go To Girl outdueled Roving Kind in the trials to that race. Ruidoso Derby finalist Karl Strauss is another one to watch.
