Juveniles Face Off In Los Alamitos' Dream A Secret

LOS ALAMITOS, CA—NOVEMBER 12, 2021—Noe Cano’s Woman Secrets, the winner of the first running of the Los Alamitos Claiming Futurity, looks to add the $17,000 Dream A Secret Stakes to his resume when he faces five other 2-year-olds in this 350-yard event on Saturday at Los Alamitos.

Cano and trainer Roman Figueroa won an eight-way shake to claim Woman Secrets after he won the $55,500 Claiming Futurity final three races ago. The son of Seperate Secrets lugged out during the early part of the Claiming Futurity but made no mistakes from there, recording a neck victory in the final on August 22.

His next start came in the trials to the PCQHRA Breeders Futurity on September 12, where he ran a good third to qualify to the $320,000 final. He more than repaid Cano and Figueroa in the Breeders Futurity final, as he earned $21,700 for his fourth-place finish in that race.

The Dutch Masters III-bred runner is now one of the horses to beat in the Dream A Secret.

Coincidentally, Dutch Masters III campaigned the Ed Allred-bred Dream A Secret in the early 1990s. She was a hard-knocking filly during her four-year career, winning eight of 33 starts for $74,848. She ran in eight stakes races, including three Grade 1 events during that span.
