Fourteen trials at 400 yards are on tap with every race featuring either an eight or nine horse field. The juveniles with the 10 fastest times will advance to the $2,036,825 Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity to be held on Sunday, December 12. Consensus selections for each of the 14 trials can be found on page 6 of the Night Lines program.

The racing card will feature three Pick Four wagering opportunities. The early Pick Four will start in the first race, the middle Pick Four will go in race six with the Late Pick Four getting underway in race 11. The $2 traditional Pick Six will feature either the popular $10,000 Pick Six Promo or a carryover in the event there were no tickets with six of six on Saturday night.

Right off the get go the opening trial is a tremendous one as it will feature PCQHRA Breeders Futurity finalists Precysion and Dynamic Jess, both of which delivered smashing trial wins to the Breeders Futurity. This lineup will include John Deere California Juvenile winner Scoops Dynasty plus Daytona 1000, a horse that will be making only his second career start, which was an eye-catching winning outing.

The second trial will feature the return of Ed Burke Million Futurity finalist Black Coffeee, who returns to action for the first time since running third in his trial to the Governor’s Cup Futurity. He’ll take on Ed Burke finalist Docs Fastlane and Governor’s Cup finalist Nevada Charles.

Fillies will be in the spotlight in the third trial with Rainbow Futurity finalist BF Shes Outrageous leading the way. Owned and bred by Kevin Birrell, the Big Daddy Cartel filly won the Desert Classic Futurity at Turf Paradise. Other top fillies in this race include Empty Promise, who was a nice second in her Golden State Million trial, and David Hinkins’ Unavailable, who has posted several top efforts against solid competitors this season.

Five Livestock Company LLC and Steve Wright’s Favorite Honey is the horse to beat in the fourth race. The Favorite Cartel gelding was terrific in winning the Grade 2 PCQHRA Breeders Futurity and he also showed his ability to close on his rival when making up ground in his third-place finish in the Governor’s Cup Futurity. La Blue Amore, who just missed qualifying to the Golden State Million Futurity, is one of the quickest horses in this trial and one of the top rivals that Favorite Honey will deal with in the fourth trial.

Ed Allred’s Watch Out, who ran second to She Goes Up in the Governor’s Cup Futurity, and Corona Yo, who was second to Favorite Honey in the PCQHRA Breeders Futurity, face off in trial five. The sixth trial features the local debut of Rosenthal Ranch LLC’s Bomb Cyclone, a full brother to Grade 1 winners Powerful Favorite, Runforyourlife, and Cyber Monday. S & S Horses’ Fortunate Corona, who qualified to the Golden State Million after winning his trial by daylight, will also be in action in trial six. His dam, Matabari, won the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity in 2012.

Allred’s Vamoosing, a stakes winner on California Breeders Champions Night, and This Eagle Fire, out of the same dam who produced 2017 Two Million winner J Fire Up, will meet in the seventh trial. Meanwhile, the eighth trial will include Dunn Ranch LLC’s Tip Ofmy Tongue, who has won each of his last three starts, and two-time Grade 2 futurity finalist FG Jess Seis.

The ninth heat will include Raymon Merrill and Gregory Collum’s All American Futurity finalist Jess Dream Of Me and Parsons Family’s Terrific Chrome, whose dam in the tremendous producer of graded stakes winners Terrific Energy. The 10th trial will be led by Dunn Ranch’s Whizkey Glasses, the winner of the Grade 1 Golden State Million Futurity and of five of seven career starts. The son of FDD Dynasty won his Golden State trial by a half-length before scoring a wire-to-wire win in the final.

Race 11 will feature another standout in Eye On The Sky for owners Steve Burns, Juan H. Moya and Jose F. Garcia. Eye On The Sky has won three of four lifetime starts with his only blemish being a fifth place finish in the Ed Burke Million final. Governor’s Cup finalist Set For It and Golden State Million runner-up Significant Dynasty are also part of his strong division. The 12th trial will include two multiple Grade 1 finalists in Chizum and Hallelujah Nights. They both qualified to the Ed Burke and Golden State Million with Chizum finishing ahead of Hallelujah Nights both times. In fact, Chizum is perfect three for three in Grade 1 futurity trials this year.

The final two trials will include Ruidoso Futurity finalist Apollitical J Legacy and Golden State finalist Dasha Dynasty in the 13th trial and wide-open group led by recent arrivals Incredible and Tempting Dreamgirl in the 14th and final heat.
