Grade 2 Heritage Place Derby Headlines Closing-Night Undercard Stakes at Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MAY 25, 2022–Ten sophomores, headed by graded stakes winners Dreamsville and Whizkey Glasses, are entered back in Saturday's 400-yard, $270,100 Heritage Place Derby (G2) at Remington Park.
A gelded son of Hes Relentless trained by Dee Keener for owner Elizabeth Logan, Dreamsville boasts a four-race win streak that includes a one-length victory in the April 16, $271,000 Remington Park Derby (RG2) for Oklahoma-bred 3-year-olds. Dreamsville drew post 5 and will be ridden by Jesus Salazar.
Whizkey Glasses races for Dunn Ranch from the barn of trainer Monty Arrossa. A homebred son of champion FDD Dynasty, the gelding has earned $814,371 from 12 starts, and his eight wins include a 1 1/2-length victory in last year's 400-yard, $1.112-million Golden State Million Futurity (G1) at Los Alamitos.
Whizkey Glasses drew post 2 and will be ridden by Francisco Calderon.
Five other undercard Quarter Horse stakes will be run Saturday at Remington Park. Rogelio Marquez Jr.'s San Lorenzo Ivory, a son of Ivory James and a $52,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale, is one of Oklahoma-bred 2-year-olds entered in the 350-yard, $50,000 Easy Jet Stakes (RG3).
San Lorenzo Ivory has won two of three starts and has banked $289,939, and he is coming off of a half-length victory as the 7-5 favorite in the April 16, $974,000 Remington Park Futurity (RG1) for state-bred juveniles. The gelding drew post 5 and will be ridden by Juan Pulido for trainer Santos Carrizales Jr.
Reigning distance champion Wascallywittlewabbit heads a field of eight entered in Saturday's 870-yard, $50,000 Remington Distance Championship (G1).
Wascallywittlewabbit began his 7-year-old season with a wire-to-wire, 3 1/2-length win in the March 31, 870-yard Pauls Valley Stakes (G2). Mike Joiner trains the Heza Motor Scooter gelding for owner Rogers Farms.
Wascallywittlewabbit drew post 2 and will be ridden by Josh Romero.
Sonny Seis, an undefeated son of champion Tres Seis owned by Cody Cobb and Kim Middleton, is the 5-2 morning-line favorite for Saturday's 350-yard, $100,000 Heritage Place Juvenile Invitational Stakes. A $72,000 purchase at last year's Heritage Place Yearling Sale, Sonny Seis has earned $19,014 from two races, and he is coming off of a 1 3/4-length victory in a Heritage Place Futurity (G1) trial on May 5.
Sonny Seis drew post 2 and will be ridden by Mario Delgado for trainer James Gonzales III.
Ruse Ranch LLC's Pops First Lady will be after her first Grade 1 win in Saturday's 400-yard, $100,000 Junos Request Stakes (G1) for fillies and mares. A 4-year-old daughter of world champion Apollitical Jess trained by Charles "Duke" Shults, the mare will be stretching out in distance off of her nose victory in the 350-yard, $75,000 Easy Date Stakes (G3) on April 16.
Pops First Lady drew post 6 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa.
Saturday's inaugural 400-yard, $278,000 Heritage Place Oaks has drawn a field of 10 sophomore fillies, headed by the streaking All Pointz Bulletin. A daughter of Tres Seis trained by Monty Arrossa for owner Dunn Ranch, the filly has won her last three races, including the March 19, $263,000 Oklahoma Derby (G3).
All Pointz Bulletin drew post 6 and will be ridden by Francisco Calderon.
