AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com Polls Remain Firm to Close July

Q-RACING JOURNAL—JULY 29, 2015—Pollsters made no changes to this week's AQHA Racing-Horseplayernow.com national polls for the 2-year-olds or the older-horse division as July comes to a close.

At the top of the juvenile rankings, Walk Thru Crystal remains a near-unanimous No. 1 with 109 of 110 possible points in the balloting, while Dashin Brown Streak (106) and Kiss My Hocks (100) have separated themselves atop the 3-year-old-and-older rankings.

Moonist remained at No. 5 this week among the older horses following Saturday’s impressive victory in the $100,000 Spencer Childers California Breeders Championship Handicap (RG1) at Los Alamitos.

In other news among the nation’s top-rated performers, No. 4-ranked juvenile Tres Friends, winner of the Rainbow Futurity (G1), will miss the All American Futurity (G1) trials because of shin issues, according to trainer Blane Wood. Tres Friends instead will be aimed for the Texas Classic Futurity (G1) trials at Lone Star Park in the autumn with an eye specifically on next year’s rich derby purses.
