LOS ALAMITOS, CA—OCTOBER 9, 2015—Los Alamitos Race Course in Cypress, California is proud to partner with the Susan G. Komen Los Angeles County Affiliate for the "Betting On A Cure For Breast Cancer Night" at the Races to be held in the beautiful Vessels Club on Saturday (Oct. 10)

Betting On A Cure is an event aimed to raising funds and awareness for the great cause of cancer research and treatment. Betting On A Cure will be held as part of the live racing program at Los Alamitos that will include the running of the Pink Ribbon race. The event in the Vessels Club will start at approximately 6 p.m.

Betting On A Cure will be highlighted by fun, bright splashes of pink spread throughout the track. Pony horse riders and the starting gate crew will show their support for Betting On A Cure by dressing up in pink and by wearing the Betting On A Cure event t-shirt. Pony riders will also participate in a “Decorate Your Ride” contest, as they’ll glam up their ponies for the night. Pony riders also participated in a “Decorate Your Ride” contest. Amanda Ropar’s Cisco and Yanet Rodriguez’s Lumpy have been among the past winners of the “Decorate Your Ride”.

You can support Betting On A Cure by purchasing ticket to this fun night at the races in the Vessels Club. Tickets are available for $100 and will include admission and parking to Los Alamitos Race Course and a wonderful gourmet dinner in the Vessels Club.

Event attendees can purchase $10 raffle tickets which enters you to win WSS Shoes, a complimentary two-night stay at the Ritz Carlton Marina Del Rey or one of a kind jewelry from Diamond International. Event t-shirts will also be available for purchase on the night of the event.

Your support and contributions will help the Susan G. Komen for the Cure reach women and men and their families, with screening, diagnostic testing and treatment for breast cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in California regardless of race or ethnicity. Survival is excellent when diagnosed early.
