SHERIDAN, WY—JANUARY 16, 2017—Horseman KC Carden was recently and unexpectedly diagnosed with an aggressive metastic cancer.

KC is undergoing chemotherapy treatment, and while they do have health insurance, there are many expenses not covered. Several accounts have been set up to help him and his family with expenses.

During his training career, he trained the earners of more than $4.6 million and is one of the Bank of America Racing Challenge program’s all-time leading trainers. He trained the likes of champion Kool Kue Baby and Grade 1 winners Toast To Dash and A Touch Of Victory. Currently he is a stallion manager.

''First a big THANK YOU to all of you for being there for us,'' his wife Candice wrote on Facebook. ''Our family has been encouraged, uplifted, and humbled by the tremendous outpouring of support that we have felt over the past few weeks.''
