OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—JANUARY 16, 2017—Horsemen and women are invited to attend the 2016 AQHA Racing Champions' Ceremony Wednesday (January 18) in Oklahoma City.

The 2016 AQHA Racing Champions will be announced during the annual ceremony at Heritage Place. A pre-party will get underway at 4:00 p.m. (CST) with a guest speaker at 5:00 p.m and the awards ceremony set for 6:00 p.m.

Hall-of-Fame trainer D. Wayne Lucas will be the featured speaker and a 'Champions Reception' will follow in the Heritage Place Restaurant and Bar.

After a stellar Quarter Horse career, AQHA Hall of Fame member D. Wayne Lukas went to Thoroughbred racing and reached that breed’s Hall of Fame. Now 81, he won the Kentucky Derby four times, the Preakness Stakes six times, the Belmont Stakes four times and has 20 Breeders’ Cup wins. Lukas has earned four Eclipse Awards for training.

Gentlemen are urged wear coat and tie and ladies cocktail attire.
