ALLEN, OK—MARCH 29, 2017—Funeral services were held Monday (March 27) for Remington Park assistant starter Ben Wainscott, 31. He passed away March 22, 2017 in Allen, Oklahoma as the result of an auto accident.

Ben was born on April 27, 1985 in Ada, Oklahoma to Robbie and Donna (Milner) Wainscott. He graduated from Allen High School, Class of 2004. Ben worked as an assistant Starter at Remington Park Race Track in Oklahoma City.

His twin brother, Cody Wainscott, is a Quarter horse jockey on the Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas racing circuit. His father Robbie was an outrider at Remington Park, and his brother Chisumm "Chili" also worked on the starting gates at Oklahoma racetracks. Ben's uncle Billy Don Wainscott was also a jockey in the Quarter horse ranks.

Ben is survived by his sons, Cash Wainscott and Daxton Wainscott, parents Robbie and Donna Wainscott of Gerty, Oklahoma; his twin brother Cody Wainscott and wife Louanne and their daughter Lucchese of Holdenville, Ok; brother Chisumm "Chili" Wainscott and wife Brittnie of Allen, Ok; grandmother Bobbie Milner of Allen, Aunts Debbie (Cook) Milner and son Justin, Debbie Milner and daughter Layton all of Allen as well as a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service were conducted at the Allen High School Auditorium in Allen. Les Battershell officiated the service. Pallbearers were Cody Wainscott, "Chili" Wainscott, Bryan Smith, Derek Melton, Chris Wortman, Calem Woodward, Benjamin Lewis, and Jesse Berrie. Honorary bearers consisted of his uncles and friends, the Allen High School Class of 2004, and the Remington Park Gate Crew. He was buried at Gerty Cemetery in Gerty, Oklahoma.
