KVN Corona Climbs AQHA Racing National Poll

AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE ASSOCIATION—OCTOBER 11, 2017— Keith Nellesen’s undefeated KVN Corona moved up another notch in the AQHA Racing National Poll for 2-year-olds as he jumped from No. 4 to No. 3 following a victory in Sunday’s $382,200 PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity (G2) at Los Alamitos. Trained by Paul Jones, the Corona Cartel colt won the Ed Burke Million Futurity (G1) earlier in the season and is now perfect after five starts.

The top two in the juvenile poll remained unchanged for the sixth consecutive week, as All American Futurity (G1) winner Fly Baby Fly maintained her No. 1 ranking over Eagle Jazz.

The poll for 3-year-olds and up was mostly unchanged again as No. 1-ranked Hold Air Hostage and No. 2-ranked Jessies First Down remained well clear of the pack, also for the sixth straight week.

This weekend’s racing action features the Bank of America Challenge Championships at Prairie Meadows, along with several other graded stakes at the Iowa track that could impact next week’s polls.
